Australian Broadcasting Corporation – UNESCO – The Water Crisis Within

The world water crisis, though a struggle for each individual country, can be fought on a multilateral level. The Australian government urged to solve the water crisis “by incorporating various sectors of countries’ infrastructures, the basic human rights to water can be secured for all” (Delegate of Australia – UNESC). Australia’s water sustainability projects, including hundreds of industrial water pumps scattered throughout, are direct initiatives to help in the fight for clean, sustainable water. Along with these pumps, Australia’s water research can be shared in a multilateral frame, in collaboration with various countries. The Russian Federation along with Yemen’s vision for water sustainability aligns with that of Australia. The issue of funding can be resolved with existing frameworks created by past research. The worldwide water crisis can only be solved through global multilateral collaboration.
