Blood Is A Big Expense

National Crime Syndicate, 1962

The year is 1946. While America adjusts to the peace of the postwar era, a new conflict for power is brewing within the organized crime families of America. The exiled mobster Lucky Luciano has made his return to the Americas, convening a meeting of the National Crime Syndicate in Havana, Cuba. In the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, members of Italian and Jewish crime families have gathered not only to solve the issues of drug trade, gambling, and investments across the US, but to also decide who will claim the title of boss of all bosses. Once the delegates leave Havana, how successful will the National Crime Syndicate’s policies prove to be? Will they be able to take advantage of the post war boom while avoiding increased government persecution? Or will the group fall apart, leading to an end to the current era of organized crime?
